SIS Canada Market Day

Market Day is a fundraising project that aims to educate SIS Canada students about social studies economics. During this project, students learn about the different wants and needs of people and how to live within limited resources. They also get to participate in various economic activities such as trading, producing goods, selling, and buying products from others. This hands-on experience allows them to understand the different roles in the economy.

The funds raised during Market Day are donated to non-profit organizations to help educate children in countries affected by natural disasters or war. We believe that through this project, SIS Canada students will gain practical knowledge and understanding of what other countries are going through. They will also participate in making the world a better place by standing with those in need.

SIS Canada Carnival

Each year, the elementary students collaborate with their teachers to organize sports and recreation programs, as well as participate in the SIS Canada Community Festival with their kindergarten classmates. This initiative helps the elementary school children at SIS Canada to enhance and develop their leadership skills by hosting events in English. By planning and hosting events in English, the elementary school children at SIS Canada gain self-confidence, improve their leadership abilities, and connect the education they have received with real-life situations.

매년 초등학생들은 교사들과 협력하여 스포츠 및 레크리에이션 프로그램을 조직하고 유치부 동생들과 함께 SIS 캐나다 커뮤니티 페스티벌에 참여합니다. 이 활동은 SIS Canada의 초등학생들이 영어로 이벤트를 주최하여 리더십 기술을 강화하고 개발하도록 돕습니다. SIS Canada의 초등학생들은 영어로 행사를 기획하고 진행함으로써 자신감을 얻고, 리더십 능력을 향상시키며, 그들이 받은 교육을 실제 상황과 연결합니다.

Science Fair

The SIS Science Fair is held every year to encourage elementary school students to develop an interest in science and develop scientific thinking skills through various scientific exploration experiences. Through the science fair, students are presented with tasks for each grade appropriate to their level, have the opportunity to create scientific research products that are difficult to come across, display and operate the results of their research and exploration to the entire SIS Canada community, and display their achievements. You will feel satisfaction and pride, and your presentation and expression skills will improve. In particular, enthusiastic lower-grade elementary school students create models such as air rockets and microscopes, and perform experiments using chemical reactions, making the atmosphere of the event even more exciting.

SIS Canada Cultural Exchange Programs and International Study

Students at SIS Canada who are in grade 3 and above have the opportunity to participate in a 3-week summer camp on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada alongside local Canadian children. The camp offers various activities such as recreation, sports, art, and drama, which provide an immersive English language experience, foster leadership and creativity, and promote friendship with Canadian children. This experience also helps prepare students for entering middle school and studying abroad.

3학년 이상의 SIS Canada 학생들은 현지 캐나다 어린이들과 함께 캐나다 BC 주 밴쿠버 섬에서 3주간의 여름 캠프에 참가할 수 있는 기회를 갖습니다. 캠프에서는 몰입형 영어 경험을 제공하고 리더십과 창의성을 키우며 캐나다 어린이들과의 우정을 증진하는 레크리에이션, 스포츠, 예술, 드라마 등 다양한 활동을 제공합니다. 이 경험은 또한 학생들이 중학교 입학과 해외 유학을 준비하는데 도움이 됩니다.
