Fun Friday

At HCIS, we organize various activities for our students to improve their interest in learning, leadership, confidence, consideration for friends, creativity, and tension relief. Every Friday, we have thematic group activities, field trips, spirit days, sports days, event days, dojo parties, etc., all of which are linked to the theme of the month. Additionally, kinder children regularly participate in activities such as market days (donation collection), science fairs, and carnivals organized by HCIS elementary students. These activities not only provide valuable learning opportunities but also enable our students to spend quality time with their seniors. We believe that such activities help raise awareness and contribute to the overall development of our students.

HCIS에서는 학생들이 배움에 대한 관심, 리더십, 자신감, 친구에 대한 배려, 긴장 완화, 창의성 등을 향상시킬 수 있도록 다양한 활동을 조직합니다. 매주 금요일에는 주제별 그룹활동, 견학, 스피릿 데이, 운동회, 이벤트 데이, 도조 파티 등이 이달의 주제와 연계되어 진행됩니다. 또한, 우리 초등학생들은 마켓데이(기부금 모금), 과학 박람회, 카니발 등의 활동에 정기적으로 참여하고 있습니다. 이러한 활동은 귀중한 학습 기회를 제공할 뿐만 아니라 어린 학생들이 선배들과 좋은 시간을 보낼 수 있도록 해줍니다. 우리는 그러한 활동이 어린이들의 인식을 높이고 어린이들의 전반적인 발전에 기여한다고 믿습니다.

Monthly Field Trip

Once a month, children from HCIS participate in field experience activities in an area near Sokcho. Through visits to museums, libraries, fire stations, botanical gardens, art galleries, and other locations, the children can engage in a variety of activities such as observing, touching, and experiencing things firsthand. These experiences help to spark the children's interest in learning and provide them with a unique and engaging way to explore the world around them.

한 달에 한 번, HCIS 어린이들이 속초 인근 지역에서 현장 체험 활동에 참여합니다. 아이들은 박물관, 도서관, 소방서, 식물원, 미술관 등을 방문하여 관찰하고, 만지고, 체험하는 등 다양한 활동을 할 수 있습니다. 이러한 경험은 아이들의 학습에 대한 관심을 불러일으키고 주변 세계를 탐험할 수 있는 독특하고 매력적인 방법을 제공합니다.

HCIS Spirit Day 

HCIS organizes a Spirit Day every quarter to encourage a sense of togetherness and friendship among students. This day offers a variety of enjoyable activities, including Pajama Day, Mismatch Day, Crazy Hair Day, and Crazy Hat Day. These events provide an opportunity for all children to connect and make memories, irrespective of their differences. For instance, Crazy Hair Day and Crazy Hat Day allow children to wear their hair and hats in unusual ways, and provide a chance to have fun and empathize with each other, even without special costumes.

HCIS는 어린이들 간의 유대감과 우정을 장려하기 위해 분기마다 Spirit Day를 개최합니다. 이날은 파자마데이, 미스매치데이, 크레이지헤어데이, 크레이지햇데이 등 다양하고 즐거운 활동이 펼쳐집니다. 이러한 행사는 모든 어린이에게 서로 연결되고 추억을 만들 수 있는 즐거운 기회를 제공합니다. 예를 들어 Crazy Hair Day, Crazy Hat Day 등은 어린이들이 색다른 방식으로 머리와 모자를 착용할 수 있게 해주며, 특별한 의상이 없어도 서로 재미있게 놀고 공감할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.

HCIS Sports Day 

Children must take part in sports because it is essential for their fitness, health, and positive overall development. When children participate in sporting activities, it has a positive impact on their overall growth. Moreover, playing team sports has many added benefits such as the following;

• Playing team sports enables children to learn about teamwork. When they play in a team, they learn to work with others to achieve a particular goal. This will have a positive impact on their overall growth and is beneficial when they start working in a team and not just as individual professionals.
• Team sports also help them to build stronger relationships. When children play sports, they learn how to conduct themselves in social situations. Along with that, they also learn how to bond with people and build relationships.
• It teaches them respect. When children play team sports, they learn to respect other people, the rules, authority as well as their opponents. They learn to respect the rules and understand the consequences of not following the rules.
• Finally, it also helps them learn about leadership skills. When children play team sports, they learn to be accountable and responsible for their actions. They understand that they are accountable for their actions and this instills in them leadership skills.

어린이들이 스포츠 활동에 참여하는 것은 어린이들의 전반적인 성장에 긍정적인 영향을 미칩니다. 특히, SIS Canada에서 강조하는 팀 스포츠를 하면 다음과 같은 많은 추가 이점이 있습니다.
